Exam Content: Four Domains That Reflect Real-World Agile Practice

The updated PMI-ACP® exam is structured around the following four domains:

• Mindset (28%) – Focuses on creating a learning culture, encouraging innovation, and promoting psychological safety within agile teams.
• Leadership (25%) – Emphasizes coaching, conflict resolution, team empowerment, and collaborative decision-making.
• Product (19%) – Covers backlog refinement, value delivery, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure customer alignment.
• Delivery (28%) – Includes tools and techniques for managing flow, reducing waste, and optimizing performance through data and feedback.

Eligibility Requirements

To sit for the PMI-ACP® exam, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A secondary diploma (or equivalent)
• At least 28 hours of formal training in agile practices (21 hours accepted through March 2025)

And one of the following experience combinations:

• Two years of agile experience in the last five years
• One year of agile experience with a degree from a PMI Global Accreditation Center (GAC) program
• One year of agile experience plus a third-party agile certification (held for more than one year)
• Active PMP® or PgMP® certification (which automatically satisfies the general experience requirement)
